I Reignite My Passions
I reignite my passions through self-reflection.
I take time each day to reflect. Reflecting helps me identify things that are important to me. The best way for me to reflect is to remove myself from the whirlwind that surrounds me. I look for a quiet place with a comfortable place to sit and I enjoy the beautiful sound of silence.
With my eyes closed, I draw up times when I felt pure joy. Allowing myself to go back to that time gives me inner peace. The pictures in my mind do not consist of possessions because my joy does not come from things I own.
What I see are the faces of my family and friends. I hear the laughter of children and I feel the gentleness of the ocean’s breeze. That’s when my passions erupt like a volcano.
It is essential that everything I do is driven by passion so I can live a fulfilling life. I cannot be led by greed or selfishness. I feel real happiness when I am aware of my passions and I pursue them.
I find myself going through the motions of a meaningless life when I do not reflect. I take on obligations just to have something to do. Even a worthy cause can become a burden if I am doing it for the wrong reasons.
Exercising reflection tones my soul’s muscles. My soul gains unnecessary weight from distractions and stress. When I pause and search my heart, I can distinguish between those distractions and my true calling.
I am excited about what is to come. My vision is focused on fulfilling my calling. I do my best when I am passionate and I am passionate when I pause for reflection.
Questions of Reflection:
1. What are the things that bring me the most joy?
2. Am I taking enough time to relax and reflect?
3. What unnecessary weight am I carrying?

I Enjoy My Time With Family
I enjoy my time with family.
My family is a precious gift. I feel so blessed that my Creator filled my life with such incredible people.
The time I have with my family is invaluable. I cherish my family relationships — my parents who gave me a loving home, my siblings who make me feel special, my children who allow me to see the best in myself, and my spouse who loves and supports me.
Carving out family time is important because spending time with my family fills me with happiness. I look forward to sharing time with the people who mean the most to me. After all, the purpose of my work is to find fulfillment in life, while providing for my family.
I also take time to nurture all of my family relationships. Keeping these connections nurtures my soul. When I call a family member who lives far away, take the time to have an important conversation with my child, eat a meal with my relatives, or arrange an activity that allows us all to bond — I strengthen my family connections.
Because I have strong family bonds, I am never alone. When I am with my family, I am surrounded by love. My family wants the best for me and is always there to listen to me.
My family brings laughter and love into my life. They provide me with a strong network that keeps me safe and grounded.
Spending time with my family is truly a blessing.
Questions of Reflection:
1. Do I nurture each family relationship with the same energy?
2. How do my family relationships nurture my soul?
3. How can I carve out more time to spend with my family?

I Am Relinquishing Control
I am relinquishing control over the uncontrollable.
When I am in one of life’s low valleys, I am comforted by positive thoughts. I am human and I am not expected to have all the answers. That loving piece of reality brings me such comfort that I can smile in the midst of shadows.
I am not in control of everything because there are things beyond my control. And that’s okay. I am responsible for those things that I can manage, but I am quick to let go of the things that I cannot influence. In order to save myself from anxiety, I do not hold on to things that I cannot control.
I try my hardest with what I can control. I set fair expectations for myself. I am diligent. I am hardworking, yet I can admit my limitations.
When I identify things in my life that are uncontrollable, I let go of them quickly. I do not waste time trying to handle things that are impossibly out of my reach. I am happy to relinquish control because my ego and pride are in check.
When I have to acknowledge my lack of control, I do not feel guilt. By letting go of control, I make room for miracles.
In situations where I am unsure of what to do, I seek help. If I see that there is nothing else I can do, I pray, then I simply let go.
I relinquish control of all situations to a Higher Power. Where my strength ends, there is a greater strength that carries me forward. When my abilities run thin, there is the power of miracles.
Questions of Reflection:
1. What are some things that I need to give up?
2. How can I free myself from undue pressures?
3. Why should I burden myself with things that I cannot control?
