I allow job stress to roll right off my back
I allow job stress to roll right off my back.
I love my job. Even when there are challenges, I still enjoy my work. Job stress may affect others, but I am free from such stress and its negative effects. I make it a point to keep job stress from affecting my life.
Every time there is a challenge at work, I meet it with peace and acceptance. I take a deep breath and allow relaxation to grow within me. I am grateful to have employment and I know that I can overcome any difficulty at work with my positive attitude.
Each day brings a new possibility for challenge and change. This is a good thing. With change, I can grow. I enjoy growing, learning, and developing. Meeting challenges at work without stress makes me even more resilient and I enjoy being strong.
When others see that I am unstressed, they feel more relaxed too. My joy and peace help my coworkers lower their stress levels. This is a blessing to both others and myself. Allowing job stress to roll off of me makes my work environment better.
This intentional relaxation makes my home life better as well, because I am happy when I come home from work. I can leave work at work and focus on my family at home.
Today, I banish job stress and feel relaxed.

Breathing deeply helps me release tension.
When I breathe in fresh air, I envision strength entering my body. Peace travels through me, filling up my lungs. Serenity reigns in my body and my thoughts.
With every breath I exhale, I envision tension dissolving. Any circumstances that seem insurmountable become like sand in my hands when I focus on taking slow, deep breaths. I blow away my troubles and inhale the power to face challenges.
The deeper I breathe, the calmer I become. As air enters my brain, it enables me to think clearly. Fresh air dissipates the fog that sometimes clouds my thoughts. My ability to make informed, responsible decisions is restored when I take time to calm my emotions and clear my mind.
I focus on the rhythm of my breathing to find inner peace. I close my eyes and inhale as deeply as I can. I fill my diaphragm with air first, and then I allow my lungs to expand until my chest begins to rise. Then, I slowly release that air through my nose.
The sound of the air exiting my body is in sync with the beat of my heart, making a beautiful melody of oneness. I feel connected at a deeper level when I focus on my breathing because deep breaths are nature’s stress-reliever.
Today, I choose to stay aware of my breathing patterns. I replace short, shallow breaths with long, deep ones. Each inhalation increases airflow to my brain and body. And this invites calmness into my whole self. My entire day improves when I breathe deeply.
Self-Reflection Questions:
1. How does breathing empower me against stress?
2. Why is it necessary to take slow, deep breaths using my diaphragm?
3. How do I feel when I take a break to focus on my breathing?

Breathe Deeply
If we stop breathing, we cease to exist. On average we take in about 25,000 breaths every day. If we do anything really physical, such as exercising, we take in many more.
Breathing comes naturally so very few of us give it a second thought. Even though it’s natural to just breathe, it’s also important to acknowledge the benefits to our health by doing so consciously.
By consciously controlling how we breathe, for even as little as 15 minutes per day, we can tremendously improve how we feel both inside and out.
By controlling each inhale and exhale, you will increase the amount of oxygen your system has to work with. The more oxygen the better! You will also decrease the waste in your blood through proper breathing.
It’s not hard to do. Just sit up straight (like your mother probably told you), which gives your lungs the opportunity to fully expand with each inhale. Then relax as much as you can and breathe in slowly and deeply to the count of four.
Breathe in from more than just your nose. Allow your chest to rise and expand as your lungs fill with air, hold to the count of two.
Now slowly exhale to the count of four as you release all the toxins in your system. Try to reach a goal of 6 breaths per minute.
If you want to achieve superior results and increse the levels in your blood oxygen then try to breath this way for an hour a day. By increasing your blood oxygen levels you’ll be increasing the health of your heart as well as your overall well-being.
Proper breathing not only allows you to experience amazing physical benefits but it can also powerfully effect your spiritual, emotional and mental health as well.
More often than not we unconsciously breathe in a very shallow and rapid way when we are stressed or anxious.
When we breathe like this our creativity, clarity of thought and divine inspiration are dampened down. If we stay in this state for very long it can become habitual. You know, that vicious circle of feeling confused and spaced out, which makes us experience more stress and anxiety and it keeps going from there.
By employing proper breathing techniques we can refresh and reenergize our mind, body and spirit.
By breathing properly, you’ll clear up mental confusion, heighten your intuition, and just generally feel a sense of wellness.
So why not give it a try today! Breathe in deeply and you’ll soon be loving more deeply and living more deeply!
Breathing Affirmations:
I breathe in beauty and clarity.
I breathe out stress and anxiety.
I breathe in happiness and prosperity.
I breathe out anger and lack.
I now embrace all the peace and wellness that surrounds me!
