I tackle the ordinary with new strategies and tools that I bring to the playing field.

I rise above the competition by greeting the ordinary with a constantly renewed reservoir of a fresh mindset. I know that learning and growing requires effort on my part and I am happy to make that effort.

I let go of the idea that I can excel while sitting on my posterior, merely plucking what I need or want from the stream of life as it flows by me. I may glean something of value every now and then, but not nearly enough to achieve my goals.

Instead, I go out in search of the tools and skills I need to prosper, making my personal growth and development a priority.

I take classes, read books written by intelligent and successful people, and surround myself with those who help me reach my highest potential.

I believe that life tends to repeat itself and that there are very few new problems in this world. I resist the tendency to address the same old problems in the same old ways.

Because I want to break free of the hamster wheel and to make a difference, I choose my closest companions among those who think outside the box. I know that their thought patterns will spark greater creativity on my own part.

By expanding my mind and honing my skills, I know that I can help others expand their productivity, too. Together, we are a stronger team.

Self-Reflection Questions:

1.Why is my personal growth is a priority to me?
2.Do I surround myself with people who help me become my best self?
3.What problems am I currently facing that could be best addressed by thinking outside the box?

I have well-structured goals and stick to my deadlines.

Deadlines excite me because I see them as long-awaited finish lines. I am thrilled by the opportunity to accomplish my goals in victory.

Focusing on meeting my deadlines is a way to keep me motivated. Because I like to finish everything I start, I feel energized by an approaching deadline.

Showing others that I can keep my word and meet my deadlines is empowering. The pride I feel is indescribable knowing that people can trust me to get things done. Being reliable is something I value in myself.

I picture myself in a well-planned race. I know the path I am going to take and I am excited to run the course. Because I have prepared for my participation, I know I can reach the finish line victoriously.

As the finish line approaches, I surge forward. This is how I live my life. At the end of every finish line, a medal awaits me to reward me for my efforts. Whether that medal is a kind word, a note of thanks, or a bigger prize, I am fulfilled and happy.

Once again, I have proven to myself that I am dependable and that I can take on anything I desire. Sticking to well-structured goals and deadlines allows me to accomplish my tasks and reach greater heights.

Self-Reflection Questions:

1.Am I excited to accomplish my tasks?
2.How can I feel energized by an approaching deadline?
3.How do I feel when I have finished something I have started?

The more I let go of trying to change others,

The more I let go of trying to change others, the healthier I feel.

It is healthier for me to accept people for who they are. I focus on the good qualities of people, rather than the qualities in which I am trying to change. When I do this, I can enjoy deeper positive relationships.

I realize that it is unhealthy to try to change others. People react more positively to me when they can trust me. When I accept others for who they are, I can build a rock-solid foundation based on trust and respect.

As I learn to let go of trying to change others, I personally feel more positive. Before my change of heart I would only see the negative, but by letting go of judgement, my eyes are open to a whole new way of living. Because I am able to just relax and enjoy people as they are, stress disappears from my soul.

Today I will engage in this process of accepting others as is. The more I enjoy others for who they are, the healthier I feel. And as my relationships strengthen, my body and mind experience true peace.

Self-Reflection Questions:

1.How can I learn to accept others?
2.What positive things can come from being at peace with others?
3.Why does this make me feel healthier?
