Good Habits
A good life is about good habits.
A habit is simply a type of behavior that happens automatically because the body is so used to responding in that particular fashion. This occurs by engaging in a particular activity for such a long time that we do it without even thinking about it. Because habits guide behavior without much effort, those who create good life habits can live better lives.
Every day, we can focus on doing good things for ourselves. This may not be easy at first. I usually don’t have a burning desire to exercise or eat healthy. But after doing so for a while, habit will carry me the rest of the way.
Good habits do not take very long to make. You can get in the habit of eating well in a couple of months. Those first few months will be very difficult, but after some time, you’ll eat well just out of habit. The difficulty will be gone. Your health will improve almost all by itself.
Then it is just a matter of keeping your habits strong. Vacations, career changes, or children can alter our habits. From time to time, we have to go through the difficult stage of habit formation again. But once we do, the habit will return and our life will be back on track.
Questions of Reflection:
1. Do I already have any good habits?
2. What new ones would I like to create?
3. What bad ones would like to replace?

Enjoy Every Moment
I enjoy every moment of my life.
I value every second that fills my life. Every day can only be lived one time and one time only. At the end of that day, it is over forever. We have a limited number of days, and I do my best to enjoy every one of them.
I see life for what it is.
Life is a series of moments. That is all. This includes pain, laughter, fear, anticipation, excitement, and joy. I am aware of this amazing gift that I have. I am grateful to be alive and breathing. Time is such a special thing, and this realization allows me to value the good and the bad. The precious moments of life are passing me by quickly, and I’m enjoying every second.
Life is filled with countless blessings. We have so many joys, from the joy of children, to a good conversation. Everything is special. We sometimes eat in a hurry and forget to taste. We are annoyed in traffic and forget to listen to the beautiful music and sounds. We forget to take in the scenery.
Understanding that life isn’t forever helps give life to each moment. We don’t know if we’ll have another. We certainly aren’t guaranteed another. This understanding and outlook can help us enjoy the time we have left on this planet.
Questions of Reflection:
1. Do I enjoy every second of the day?
2. Do I live every day with the full understanding of its importance?
3. How can I remind myself to sit back and smell the roses?

I Know What I Want in Life
I keep my eye on the ball.
I know what I want in life and I’ve broken down the steps into manageable tasks. I know exactly what I need to do to bring myself closer to my life goals. I am not wandering or lost. I know who I am, what I want, and where I’m going. I am confident and sincere. There is no deception or confusion. My life is crystal clear.
As I reach one goal, the next becomes closer. As I progress, my ambition is charged and I begin reaching higher. I accomplish more as each year passes, and I understand the process. I know how to further my dreams and to bring them closer.
I see life in terms of the big picture. Little things cannot phase me. A small car accident is a blessing. I get out of the car feeling like the luckiest person on the planet. I smile, and feel my body. Everything is healthy and whole. The only damage that occurred was to metal and paint. My day is too valuable to be upset. I find the blessings in all of life’s trials.
Questions of Reflection:
1. In the big picture, what is really important?
2. Do I find myself being discouraged and upset too easily?
3. How can I overcome this and start to see life from a larger perspective?
